NOTE:
Bring a flashlight - don't forget. This run is about 40% in the green or on the dirt and it gets dark at night in places. You will be navigating cows, goats, chickens, ducks and possibly even (no shit) elephants - if they're not out with their handlers on Sukhumvit panhandling. I don't know what happens when you run full speed into an elephant in the dark, but in the middle of the day it scared the shit out of me, so bring a flashlight so you can stay on paper and off elephant tails.

Directions From Ekkamai BTS:
The trip from Ekkamai BTS can be a little congested because of traffic, so allow for extra time if you're not familiar with traffic on Ekkamai (or consider a moto, it's about 50 THB and quicker). The location's not far from the Skytrain or Subway distance-wise. It's closer still to the canal as well.

1. From Ekkamai Skytrain Station, take Ekkamai (Suk. Soi 63) headed North. Continue across Petchaburi Road and Rama IX Road.
2. Upon crossing Rama IX, stay to the left on the frontage road in the lanes not merging onto the tollway. I repeat, DO NOT GET ON THE TOLLWAY.
3. As soon as the tollway entrance lanes split off, move immediately to the far right lane of the frontage road. As the road begins to curve you will see a blue overhead sign marking a U Turn 200M ahead. Do not go 200M - turn right IMMEDIATELY UNDER THE SIGN into an area marked by another sign that says "Water Analysis and Control Building". I will also mark the entrance with HHH sign(s).
4. Park anywhere you can under the overpass as soon as you turn off the frontage road - amongst the various sleeping cab drivers, amateur fishermen, soi dogs and smiling local folks.

Directions From Anywhere Else:
Depending on where you live, it may be quicker to come from the Rama IX MRT station up Rama IX or by car from Petchaburi Rd., Rama IX, the tollway or even by canal. Once you get to the intersection of Rama IX and Sukhumvit Soi 63/Ekkamai/Prasoet Manu Kit (or any of its other names), follow the directions from the paragraph that begins with "As soon as you cross Rama IX" taking into account your bearing. It's complicated to explain because of all the major roads intersecting, but easy to find.

The evidence will be when you make your way to this august gathering of the BFMH3 and you see the opulence that your GM is living in - all as a result of your "contributions".

How to get there:-

If coming by BTS, get off at Nana, go all the way down Soi 11. At the T junction, turn left, follow around the bend, Chaiyos Mansion is small building on right immediately after Fraser Suites.If coming in via Soi 3, follow sub-soi which joins 3 and 11 till the end. Turn left. Chaiyos Mansion will be on your immediate right.

For those who have yet to grasp the concept of the Hash - its a bunch of people generous enough with their time to organise piss-ups on the run for another bunch of people who run and then consume the "piss". At this time we need a few "volunteers" to join that first bunch of people - the organisers. Your Hash is only as good as the effort you put into it - your hash needs you. So step forward and get no praise or free beer - but your name will go down in the annuls of time!!

Directions for the pedestrians amoungst you:
If you come by BTS it is about a 600m walk down Sukhumvit Soi 46 across Rama 4 and down Soi Pumichit. If you wish there are motorcycle taxis on the corner of Soi Pumichit.
Exit the BTS at Prakanong take exit 4 towards Ekamai. There is a sign shop on the corner. Turn left, and left again and there willbe a mobile radio shop on your right . Walk down this Soi towards Rama 4. Cross over Rama 4 and continue dowm Soi Pumichit until youreach the 7-Eleven. Turn right and look for 79/35
If you come by taxi or car - either:
From Sukhumvit. Drive down Sukumvit towards On Nut after Tong LoBTS turn right down Soi 40 (oneway), at Rama 4 turn left. Drivedown Rama 4 all the way to Sukhumvit, just before Sukhumvit thereis a dedicated U turn lane. Do the U turn, go back 50m and turnleft into Soi Phumichit. (If you miss the U turn, turn left onSukhumvit turn left after the BTS station and try again)

Or
If coming down Sukhunvit from On Nut, before the BTS station atPrakanong turn left onto Rama 4,then after about 100m turn leftinto Soi Pumichit.
When on Plumichit do a left, right zigzag and eventually turnright at the 7/11 and we are about 60m down on the right at 79/35

Now you can't say we haven't covered all transport options - except if yoou are about to free fall into Mini's back yard (not that he has one !)

Friday 23 May 2008 at 6:30pm - in the posher end of town - or at least thats what your hare "Heather" would have us to believe. But as she is the host (or hostess) you have to go along with her, or you will miss out on the usual copious amounts of amber nectar and the best nibbles in town - except perhaps those down Soi 23, but thats another story.

How to get there.

Take BTS to Ekamai, and take a motorcyc or taxi to Ekamai 10. Go down Ekamai 10 for about 300m, and you will see a sign on your right saying "Super Dogs" - #104 is the white house two doors down. Look for the HHH sign.
If you get lost - tough!! - but you could try 086-780 3942, and the hare may take pity on you and send the "Super Dogs" out to find you.
Now here's a challenge - a name for the hare - her surname "Onderick" give plenty of food for thought!! A down down for the best name.

If so, come meet us at the Boo Saa Bar, Sukumvit Soi 7/1, at 6:30! And if you don't know where this hash friendly establishment is - shame on you.

Mis-directions
Take the Skytrain (BTS) to Nana - exit north side (odds) heading towards Soi 7. At the foot of the stairs go straight and when you see Subway (Sandwich shop) on your left - turn left into Soi 7/1. Boo Saa Bar in about 60m down on your right.
Beer and Nibbles will be awaiting if you are misfortunate enough to return!
No doubt it's going to be grand as the ex Grand Master "Goldfinger" is also the hare!

How to get there:
Take the BTS (Skytrain) to either Nana or Asok and walk towards Chuvit Park (Soi 10). From Nana it mean getting down on the south (Evens) side of Sukhumvit and turning left and walking to Chuvit Park and turning right immediately after the park into Soi 10. From Asok, same thing except you turn right on alighting from the station, and turning left immediately before Chuvit Parl into Soi 10.
Baan Siri Apartments are halfway down Soi 10 (after Chuvit Park) - on the right.

Due to conflicts arising as a result of the Thai General Elections, we have had to change our run day from its usual Friday to the actual Full Moon date for December 2007. So lets leave 2007 with a resounding bang – and regardless of the politicians edicts banning alcohol consumption during the elections, we will not go without. So…

Message from the Hares
Change 99 and final Full Moon Hash Announcement! Hares Boob a Lube and founding member Dodic Master will set a city trail from the Port (Sanitary Section Klong Toey) at 4:30PM Sunday the 23d of December. As customary with the Full Moon, there will be no follow on .. on on .. particularly in light of the no fun drink restrictions at restaurants. As such, request that attendee’s who can bring a snack with them, the hares will provide some heavier snacks as well for after the run and during the circle. We will endeavour to have a well marked and unique city trail on the Port side - no boat run!!! Hope to see all who can make it!!! Boob a Lube

Directions
If you take the Expressway ...Head towards Bang Na and exit at The Port. At the bottom of the ramp turn right, and drive about 400 metres until the main entrance of the port is in front of you. Turn left down a small Soi which usually has a few motorcycle taxis waiting. Follow the Soi round a sharp left turn. Fifty metres further on where the Soi goes right, carry straight on into the compound of the Sanitary Section and park.
If you are coming from Silom or downtown ..Get onto Rama 4 heading out of town. Go past Lumpini Park, under the expressway, and carry straight on for about 1.5km passing two more sets of traffic lights. At traffic lights just before you reach Tesco Lotus turn right into Kasemrat Road (there is a Shell petrol station on the corner). At the traffic lights after about 500m go straight on, and at the next traffic lights under the expressway go straight on again. Drive about 400 metres until the main entrance of the Port is in front of you. Follow same as above.

Exit Chit Lom BTS on the south side, and walk down for approx. 6/7 minutes to the Mansion. Head for the pool area.

Annual Red Dress/Red Light/ Pub Run

Once again, a select gathering of your committee have scoured the dingy recesses of Sukhumvit to seek out a suitable run location, and probably more importantly, unsuitable imbibement centres, to make the third annual running of the Red Dress/Red Light/Pub Run something to remember ( may not be possible after the amount of liquid refreshment that will be available). In fact just to get it right, we carried out five reccy's, and plan at least one more before the night.

Appetite whetted? Mark you diary's now - and get your red dresses and their accessories out of the closet ( might as well come out as well) 'cause its all happening on Friday 10 th. August - thats this Friday.

Yes, another BFMH3 run this month, and just to keep you on your toes, its something different.
Your hare, Poofter, and co-hares Noriega and the Winking Frog (a new name to conjure with - he ain't French and he doesn't have an eye affliction) will be setting an A to B in territory you may never have seen in central Bangkok - the hare even recommends camera's to be taken!
The run starts from Noriega's at 6:30 pm (18:30) on Friday 30th.March 2007 with the first leg of the run using public transport - so don't be late - we will start on time.
There will be a bag drop with transportation of bags to the B site provided.

The Tickler and Noriega will host/hare the BFMH3 at 18:30hrs on Friday 02 Feb 2007.
Start: Centre Point Sukhumvit 10, 39 Sukhumvit Soi 10 Rd., Klongtoey

Directions: 1. Sukhumvit Soi 10 is on the south-side of Sukhumvit Rd.,in between the Nana and Asok BTS stations.
2. Travel 400 meters south on Soi 10 and turn left (you are now at the Centre Point 10 service apartment guard shack). Alternatively you can catch the Center Point tuk-tuk shuttle which makes a round trip from Sukhumvit intersection approximately every 5 min.
3. Tell them you are guests of Greg Cable. If on foot, proceed directly to the "F" floor (yes, the "F" floor as in family/fitness in between the P5 and 7th floor buttons in the elevator)and change in the appropriate shower/toilet facility then drop your bag in the "glass" room. This room will be guarded by the fitness manager.
5. If driving, park in the garage, floors P1-P5. You will have to walk back down to the ground floor through the parking garage.
6. The nibbles, circle and social drinking will take place on the fitness/pool floor "F" (in between P5 and 7th floors)in the "glass" room. Showers are available in the toilet facilities.

The first run for 2007 of the Bangkok Full Moon Hash will be on 12th.January, with that erstwhile FRB Joylide, who is fresh from her muscle building tour of Loas, about to lead us a merry chase through territory very familiar to her - the back streets of Sukhumvit.

Run Guidelines

Run Guidelines (there are no rules)
· Choose a well lit, low traffic area that is accessible by skytrain (BTS) or underground (MRT).
· Send the On Sec, Whoremonger directions to the run at least 10 days before the hash so that he may publicize the run and prepare the coolers.
· Plan to start the run at 18:30 and keep the time to about 1 hour.
· Use heavy clumps of flour, paper and white or yellow chalk liberally so that markings can easily be seen in the dark.
· Place markings approx. 10 m apart. Chances are good that some of your markings will be covered by parked cars, markets, cleaning crews, shadows as the evening progresses. In some places, markings at eye level (i.e. cement posts) may be more visible than on the ground. A night recce is recommended to see what the area looks like after dark.
· Try to place markings on the same side of the street so that a regular pattern can be followed by the hounds.
· Try to keep the pack together with plenty of checks marked with an X. The first marking should be 30-50 metres after the check. This helps the runners stay together and not become scattered in the darkness and noises of the night.
· Avoid setting checks in busy roads or intersections as hounds will not hear the "OnOn" call.
· Consider using public transportation, i.e. skytrain, boats, a water/beer stop or a live hare run to make the evening interesting.
· The Full Moon Hash is a social run. OnOnOns are at the discretion of the Hare. The piss, water and pop is organized by Whoremonger or one of his appointees. A light meal (i.e. sandwiches, pizza, chicken, fruit, potato crisps) at the On In site is usually provided by the Hare. Hash Cash will pay for nibbles up to a reasonable amount. However if a full OnOnOn is planned the costs should be divided among the participants. BFMH3 supports Noriega's Bar at the end of Silom Soi 4 and will set runs from here or return here frequently.
